Gameplay
Co Tuong is played on a board with 9 columns and 10 rows. The board is divided into two halves, with a river in the middle. Each player starts with 16 pieces placed on their half of the board. The players take turns moving their pieces with the objective of capturing their opponent's General. The game can end in a stalemate or a checkmate.
Pieces
There are seven different types of pieces in Co Tuong. Each piece has its own unique movement pattern and special abilities.
1. General – This is the most important piece on the board and the objective of the game is to capture your opponent's General. The General moves one space at a time within the palace.
2. Advisor – This piece is also known as the Guard. It moves one space diagonally within the palace.
