Durak is a popular Russian card game that is now available all over the world. The game is played with a deck of 36 cards and can be played with 2-6 players. The objective of the game is to be the last player with cards remaining in their hand.
Gameplay
To start the game, the deck of cards is shuffled and each player is dealt six cards. The remaining cards are placed in a pile face down in the middle of the table, with the top card turned face up next to the pile. This card is known as the trump card.
The player to the left of the dealer starts the game by attacking the player to their left with one of their cards. The attacking card can be any card from their hand except for the trump card. The player to the left of the attacker must then try to defend against the attack by playing a card of equal or higher value of the same suit.
If the player is unable to defend against the attack, they must take the attack card and any other cards played during the attack and add them to their hand. If the player is able to defend against the attack, the attacking player must take the defending card and any other cards played during the attack and add them to their hand.
