Stick War: Legacy Review - Build Your Stick Army!
2023-04-10

Stick War: Legacy is a strategy game developed by Max Games Studios. It is a remake of the popular web game “stick war” created by Jason Whitham and Brock White. The game is set in a world where stick figures are the primary inhabitants, and players take control of a stick figure army to wage war against other stick figure civilizations. Stick War: Legacy has received high praise from gamer players for its unique gameplay, interesting storyline, and simple yet challenging mechanics.
Simple Operations Control Complex Battles

The gameplay in Stick War: Legacy is straightforward and easy to understand. The objective is to destroy the enemy's statue while defending your own. Players control a stick figure army, and they can choose to create different units like miners, swordsmen, archers, and giants. Each unit has its unique strengths and weaknesses, and players must use a combination of units to succeed in battle. So this is a simple physical combat but also a intelligence and tactical competition.
To Conquer Or Be Conquered

In a world called Inamorta, you're surrounded by discriminate nations devoted to their individual nations technology and struggle for dominance. Each nation has developed its own unique way to defend and attack. Proud of their unique craft they have become obsessed to the point of worship, turning weapons to religion. Each believes that their way of life is the only way, and are dedicated to teaching their policies to all other nations through what their leaders claim as divine intervention, or as you will know it... war.
The player are the leader of the nation called "Order", his way is of peace and knowledge, and his people do not worship their weapons as gods. This makes him a mark for infiltration by the surrounding nations. The only chance to defend is to attack first, and obtain the technologies from each nation along the way.
It is a compelling story that follows the journey of a stick figure army as they attempt to defeat other civilizations and become the most powerful in the land. The story is well written, and the story background introduction at beginning adds to the game's overall experience greatly. The campaign mode consists of different levels, each with its own unique story, and players must complete each level to progress through the campaign.
Control One Or Control All

The interesting thing is that the play could control one specific soldier (the one marked by the yellow star). And the player could control them to dig gold or wage it’s attack, which allows players to micromanage their army and gives then more control over the battlefield.
Another the unique features of Stick War: Legacy is the ability to control all units at a time too by issuing an order as a commander in chief. Players can also upgrade their units, which increases their stats and makes them more powerful.

You'll need to train and build a variety of units, including miners, swordsmen, archers, and giants. Each unit has its strengths and weaknesses, so you'll need to choose the right combination of units for your attack. And the player could control some specific soldier to enhance the lethality flexibly.

The shop in Stick War: Legacy plays an important role in the game as it allows players to purchase upgrades and special abilities that can be used to improve their army's performance. Players can purchase upgrades for their existing units. Upgrades increase the stats of units, making them more powerful and effective in battle. Special abilities can be game-changers, as they can help turn the tide of battle in the player's favor.
